Champion's Fans

"Mr. Jim Clark was my point of contact with Champion; he was courteous, professional and extremely helpful. It was a pleasure doing business with him. The members of all of the crews, water removal/drying, carpet layers and packers were courteous, professional, arrived on time, and completed work in a timely manner. In addition, they were friendly. We are very pleased with Champion's response and work and I will gladly recommend Champion to others. I will express my satisfaction with Champion to USAA." - Water Damage in Fayetteville, GA

"I have never been as impressed with a great group of young men. Very professional, efficient and knowledgeable of their line of work. Considering the age of my crew; they out-performed the middle and older aged men I have worked with in similar job requests. Thank you!!! Big kudos to Colby...loved this kid!!!" - Water Damage in Ellenwood, GA

"The crew was super courteous and professional. They also showed a level of compassion that was an unexpected surprise. They also took the extra step to explain every step." - Water Damage in Jonesboro, GA

"If I hadn't seen the damage beforehand, afterwards I wouldn't have know it had occurred. Great group of people both repairing and managing the crews." - Water Damage in Peachtree City, GA

“Champion has done a super job in getting the house squared away. All of their employees and subcontractors have been professional, courteous and helpful in answering our many questions and keeping us informed of schedules and other matters.” - Fire Damage in Peachtree City, GA

Extreme Makeover Home Edition is in Savannah, Georgia...and Champion's Helping!

That's right! Extreme Makeover is in Georgia and we are on the scene.

On Friday, November 12, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition surprised Jim and Carmen Simpson of  Savannah with the news that they had been chosen as the recipients of a full home makeover! Carmen and Jim give back to their Savannah community as they raise three children,  Zoe, Katelyn and Isaac.  Zoe, the youngest, is their “miracle baby,” having beaten the odds after being born with a life-threatening disease.

Champion sent 5 volunteers to Savannah to help with the drying and clean-up. Brett Bishop and Jeremy Reets went down Sunday night and worked from Monday at 11 am until 5 am Tuesday. They set air-movers and Tes units to help speed the drying of the paint and drywall. They were worn out when it was all done but they had a great time and got to meet Paul DiMeo, Ed Sanders and Tracy Hutson! On Tuesday evening, Chloe Hudson, Icela Reets and Zach Reets headed to Savannah to assist in the cleanup of the home so that furniture and decorating could go in. They had the privilege of meeting Paula Deen and her husband. They are still cleaning right now so hopefully they can get it all done because...the big reveal is today!

Peachtree City Classic

I would not call myself a runner, because I am not one, but I do like to challenge myself.  A friend recently invited me to join her for the Peachtree City Classic on October 16th. We are going to run the 5k. It doesn't sound like much a challenge, I know. However, I also recently accepted an invitation to run a half marathon in January and that is definitely a challenge. As turns out a half marathon is 13.1 miles.  So we will see. I've heard I should 'train' for something like this. So I have a 10 week training schedule to follow. Hopefully it works!

Below is some info on the Peachtree City Classic in case anyone is interested. It's sure to be a fun event and a good start to keeping fit during the Fall and Winter months.

The Peachtree City Classic is unique in its use of paved cart paths for the race. The scenic race is run mostly on the paths through green belt areas, by lakes, through short tunnels in the beautiful community of Peachtree City. The course was voted the Best Course in Georgia Athlete Magazine and is always a sellout so register early. The 15K race is designated the 2009 RRCA Southern Regional Championship and USATF 15K Grand Prix series. Champion's Company Luau 2010

SEE MORE PICNIC PHOTOS!

On June 5th, 2010 Joel & Kathy Reets hosted Champion’s Annual Company Picnic. As always, everyone had a great time. This year we decided to have a luau since so many of us had recently gone to Hawaii and were still pining to be there! The luau was held at Joel & Kathy’s Lake House on Clearwater Lake in Sharpsburg.  The food was great! We had traditional luau favorites including roasted pig (we ordered it from Williams Brothers Bar-B-Q in Douglasville...it was delicious and we didn't even have to dig a hole), tropical rice pilaf, baked plantains, Tropical salad with baby romaine, pineapple, macadamia nuts, bacon and coconut with a delicious tropical vinaigrette dressing & coconut cream and key lime pies for dessert! One thing everyone really enjoyed at the luau was the Hawaiian Shaved Ice! We hired Jump 2 It Party Rentals in Peachtree City and they provided everything we needed for all-you-can-eat shaved ice fun! We're not sure who ate the most but I think a few people tried all 11 flavors!

In addition to swimming, fishing, basketball, and horseshoes, there were plenty of fun games going on throughout the day. These included a Tacky Tourist Relay and Champion’s own version of “Minute To Win It”. Click here to see the photos! We were also treated to pontoon boat rides around the lake which was very relaxing. It really was a great day and can't wait until next year! We are already trying to come up with a theme for next year. If you have any ideas, please share your comments!

Buying Locally Grown in Georgia

There is a lot of talk these days about the benefits of buying locally grown produce. I personally love buying locally grown to support my community, to live a little greener, for the health benefits and because it really does taste better! This is a link to a website which shares many more reasons to buy local. http://www.localharvest.org/buylocal.jsp This site also helps you locate local farms in your area.

Here are a few places that I know of that you can buy locally grown produce. I live in Meriwether County so most of these places are central to me but please feel free to let me know of others in the area that you enjoy going to.

BE PREPARED FOR THE PEAK OF HURRICANE SEASON

hurricaneHurricanes in Georgia?  Yes! According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Georgia is at particular risk of being affected by hurricanes because it is a coastal state.  The hurricanes that affect Georgia are severe tropical storms that form in the southern Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico. Hurricane season lasts from June 1st until November 30th, but the majority of activity is from August until October.  Therefore, every state resident should plan what to do in the event of an evacuation.

The Key to Good Business

pam1Customer Service is defined as "the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase.'  It is important that customer service be implied to your customers during their entire experience with your company.  This assures that they feel wanted, as opposed to needed, which can also help generate more business for you in the future.  If they feel they were well taken care of, they will pass on this information to others, which in turn can help build your reputation as a business.  Exceptional Service also helps prevent problems and issues that would potentially arise if the customer was not taken care of all the way through.  Overall, Customer Service is the key foundation to help build a successful, winning business!
