Champion's Fans

"Mr. Jim Clark was my point of contact with Champion; he was courteous, professional and extremely helpful. It was a pleasure doing business with him. The members of all of the crews, water removal/drying, carpet layers and packers were courteous, professional, arrived on time, and completed work in a timely manner. In addition, they were friendly. We are very pleased with Champion's response and work and I will gladly recommend Champion to others. I will express my satisfaction with Champion to USAA." - Water Damage in Fayetteville, GA

"I have never been as impressed with a great group of young men. Very professional, efficient and knowledgeable of their line of work. Considering the age of my crew; they out-performed the middle and older aged men I have worked with in similar job requests. Thank you!!! Big kudos to Colby...loved this kid!!!" - Water Damage in Ellenwood, GA

"The crew was super courteous and professional. They also showed a level of compassion that was an unexpected surprise. They also took the extra step to explain every step." - Water Damage in Jonesboro, GA

"If I hadn't seen the damage beforehand, afterwards I wouldn't have know it had occurred. Great group of people both repairing and managing the crews." - Water Damage in Peachtree City, GA

“Champion has done a super job in getting the house squared away. All of their employees and subcontractors have been professional, courteous and helpful in answering our many questions and keeping us informed of schedules and other matters.” - Fire Damage in Peachtree City, GA

Fishing With David Or "Is This Really A Vacation?"

Recently, Joel and I went fishing in Alaska with my expert fisherman brother, David. Of course, you are all wondering about our big catch. Well, I learned a few things about myself and also about fishing in Alaska. The first day we spent fishing on a boat out of Homer, Alaska. We were on the hunt for the BIG halibuts! My first two lessons were learned the first day, right there on that fishing boat. First, I learned that I do get seasick. Second, I learned that halibuts are heavy. When you add that incredibly huge and large sinker that probably weighed about 5 pounds, they are even heavier. So, I confess that the deck hand had to help me reel in my halibuts. Joel would have helped but he was busy being seasick and also reeling up his own halibuts. Ditto for David!

Champion's Company Luau 2010

SEE MORE PICNIC PHOTOS!

On June 5th, 2010 Joel & Kathy Reets hosted Champion’s Annual Company Picnic. As always, everyone had a great time. This year we decided to have a luau since so many of us had recently gone to Hawaii and were still pining to be there! The luau was held at Joel & Kathy’s Lake House on Clearwater Lake in Sharpsburg.  The food was great! We had traditional luau favorites including roasted pig (we ordered it from Williams Brothers Bar-B-Q in Douglasville...it was delicious and we didn't even have to dig a hole), tropical rice pilaf, baked plantains, Tropical salad with baby romaine, pineapple, macadamia nuts, bacon and coconut with a delicious tropical vinaigrette dressing & coconut cream and key lime pies for dessert! One thing everyone really enjoyed at the luau was the Hawaiian Shaved Ice! We hired Jump 2 It Party Rentals in Peachtree City and they provided everything we needed for all-you-can-eat shaved ice fun! We're not sure who ate the most but I think a few people tried all 11 flavors!

In addition to swimming, fishing, basketball, and horseshoes, there were plenty of fun games going on throughout the day. These included a Tacky Tourist Relay and Champion’s own version of “Minute To Win It”. Click here to see the photos! We were also treated to pontoon boat rides around the lake which was very relaxing. It really was a great day and can't wait until next year! We are already trying to come up with a theme for next year. If you have any ideas, please share your comments!

Champion Receives Performance Excellence Award from Crawford Contractor Connection

cc-award1On June 9th -12th Joel Reets (President), Jeremy Reets (C.E.O.) & Gary Anderson (General Manager) of Champion Construction Systems, Inc. attended the Crawford Contractor Connection Conference at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year the conference focused on keys to customer service that will drive the growth and expansion of the Contractor Connection network in 2009 and beyond. The conference included various speakers who provided helpful insights to all. Jeremy Reets spoke about “Measuring and Creating Evaporation Potential” which provided a scientific explanation of the effect that drying equipment has on the drying process. There was also a conference expo that provided access to over 70 exhibitors who are key service providers to the insurance, restoration, and remodeling industries.  The highlight of the convention was, by far, the honor of receiving “The Strength of Working Together” Performance Excellence Award for the Southeast District.  As part of the award, Champion received a football autographed by Brian Holloway, a Stanford All-American and five-time NFL All-Pro. Holloway excelled as team captain of the 1985 New England Patriots, AFC Championship Team. Holloway was also a keynote speaker at the conference. Joel, Jeremy and Gary had a great time at the conference and are looking forward to attending next year’s conference.

CHAMPION’S ANNUAL COMPANY PICNIC - May 30th, 2009

summerOn May 30th Joel & Kathy Reets hosted Champion’s Annual Company Picnic. As always, everyone had a great time. The picnic was held at Joel & Kathy’s Lake House on Clearwater Lake in Sharpsburg. Joel handled the grilling and served up delicious steaks, chicken and more for everyone to feast on. In addition to swimming, fishing, basketball, and horseshoes, there were plenty of fun games going on throughout the day. These included a scavenger hunt, a relay race and Champion’s own version of “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?” We all had a great time and went home wondering what they will do next year. I guess we’ll have to wait and see!

The Very Beginning of Champion...

little-larry-and-joelMost people don't know that Champion's Founder, Joel Reets and Champion's Construction Manager, Larry Banach grew up together in Erie, Pennsylvania.  Joel founded Champion in 1970 and Larry joined him in 1994.  Here is a picture we came across of little Joel and Larry together on a construction site.  Who could have know then that it was just the first of many construction projects they would be on together?
