Champion's Fans

"Mr. Jim Clark was my point of contact with Champion; he was courteous, professional and extremely helpful. It was a pleasure doing business with him. The members of all of the crews, water removal/drying, carpet layers and packers were courteous, professional, arrived on time, and completed work in a timely manner. In addition, they were friendly. We are very pleased with Champion's response and work and I will gladly recommend Champion to others. I will express my satisfaction with Champion to USAA." - Water Damage in Fayetteville, GA

"I have never been as impressed with a great group of young men. Very professional, efficient and knowledgeable of their line of work. Considering the age of my crew; they out-performed the middle and older aged men I have worked with in similar job requests. Thank you!!! Big kudos to Colby...loved this kid!!!" - Water Damage in Ellenwood, GA

"The crew was super courteous and professional. They also showed a level of compassion that was an unexpected surprise. They also took the extra step to explain every step." - Water Damage in Jonesboro, GA

"If I hadn't seen the damage beforehand, afterwards I wouldn't have know it had occurred. Great group of people both repairing and managing the crews." - Water Damage in Peachtree City, GA

Peachtree City Classic - We did it!

Alright! So just a brief update on my attempt to become a runner. Saturday October 16th Zach and I ran our first race. I guess technically it is a race. In my mind, I am just running... not racing. That being said, it was a lot of fun! The race was very well organized thanks to the Peachtree City Running Club and we got really cool shirts for participating. I ran the 5k in 31 minutes and Zach ran the 15k in 1 hour 22 minutes.

Peachtree City Classic

I would not call myself a runner, because I am not one, but I do like to challenge myself.  A friend recently invited me to join her for the Peachtree City Classic on October 16th. We are going to run the 5k. It doesn't sound like much a challenge, I know. However, I also recently accepted an invitation to run a half marathon in January and that is definitely a challenge. As turns out a half marathon is 13.1 miles.  So we will see. I've heard I should 'train' for something like this. So I have a 10 week training schedule to follow. Hopefully it works!

Below is some info on the Peachtree City Classic in case anyone is interested. It's sure to be a fun event and a good start to keeping fit during the Fall and Winter months.

The Peachtree City Classic is unique in its use of paved cart paths for the race. The scenic race is run mostly on the paths through green belt areas, by lakes, through short tunnels in the beautiful community of Peachtree City. The course was voted the Best Course in Georgia Athlete Magazine and is always a sellout so register early. The 15K race is designated the 2009 RRCA Southern Regional Championship and USATF 15K Grand Prix series. New Farmer's Market in Peachtree City, GA

You may have already noticed it but I wanted to share this exciting bit of information with everyone. Well I find it exciting anyway. On Wednesdays and Saturdays you can now support local farmers by making your produce purchases at the Farmers Market in Peachtree City. A group of 20 or so vendors set up and offer a nice range of produce and all natural goods. These range from your usual garden fare to purple jalapenos, jams and the most beautiful heirloom tomatoes I have seen in a long time. Plus you can purchase iced coffee to enjoy while you browse! Try and support the market if you can. It's a luxury to have access to locally grown fruits and veggies (not to mention exponentially healthier as well)!

Be sure to check it out. In front of the old Kroger on 54, next to Chick-Fil-A.

Blake Shelton at The Fred

JerryMy wife (Jennifer) and I had a most enjoyable time this past Saturday night. Being country music fans, we were excited to have tickets for Blake Shelton’s concert at the Fred Brown Jr. Amphitheater in Peachtree City. Rain and cooler temperatures were predicted for Saturday, but held off until Sunday, which we were very happy about.

As it turns out, we had Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson, and his wife Kim, to thank for bringing this concert to town. The concert was a fund-raiser for the Hudson Family Foundation.
