My Trip To Paradise

I took my first trip to the west coast. It just so happens that my first trip away from the east coast was to Hawaii. Our flight itinerary was from Atlanta to Phoenix, and from Phoenix to Honolulu. All in all, it was about an 11 hour flight. But it was entirely worth it! Hawaii is truly everything that I imagined. The sunsets, the beaches, the fresh air, the surfing, the palm trees, the hula dances.... It was the definition of what a vacation should be.
While on Oahu, here are some fun ideas/tips for you and/or your family:
Take a walk- Walking around in Hawaii can be healthy and alot of fun! Try taking a romantic stroll down the beach with the one you love. Walk and visit the local shops. Walk to dinner each day instead of getting room service. Wherever you decide to go, just take a healthy stroll and breath in the fresh air.
Find some of the local restaurants- You'll find that along the beach, you may pay about $20 for a burger. Try finding a local restaurant and try the local's cooking. You may be surprised and find a new drink or food that will knock your socks off!
Take a chance and try something new: You're on vacation! Try surfing, water skiing, snorkeling, wind surfing, hula dancing. Stay up late! Take a midnight stroll down the beach. Go see some of the shows. Go to a luau (preferably Paradise Cove). Go on a sunset cruise. Take a tour around the island. Meet new people! See new things! Just have fun!
Relax- After doing something exciting, just sit back, lay on the warm beach and think: "I'm in Hawaii...." Don't think of how much work is waiting for you at home. Don't think of the daily stresses. Don't think about the bills at home. Once you cross over that span of ocean, leave your problems at the airport. You can pick them up at the baggage claim when you get back. Take a deep breath and just........ relax.........
My first trip to Hawaii was, to this point in my life, the best trip I've ever taken. It was a trip that I would love to do again!
